Tamar River to Schouten Island

Between last Christmas and New Years my family and I spent a few days sailing the boat from it’s home on the Tamar River, around the north-east coast of Tassie to the Freycinet Peninsular and Schouten Island. All in all it was an epic trip – not a great deal to say (four days on a boat is four days on a boat…) but perfect weather, good times, and lots of fish! If you have a chance to visit Freycinet do it, and take my advice and get a kayak πŸ˜‰

Snagging a tuna when you’re doing 10-13 knots under spinnaker… Fun times.

Some friends camped at Cooks Beach – this was actually about a month later

Post from my housemate Nick, about sailing in our home-state of Tasmania. I’m not missing the winter, but look forward to coming back to a Tassie summer πŸ™‚
